Dallas, TX – June 17, 2016 – North American Cannabis Holdings, Inc. (USMJ) and Puration, Inc. (PURA) with two time Super Bowl quarterback champion Jim McMahon are together promoting cannabis as a superior pain management resource and a promising treatment for CTE. The three were together yesterday at the Cannabis World Congress & Business Exhibition at the Javits Center in New York City. USMJ and PURA are together introducing a line of sports and fitness cannabis infused supplements in keeping with the advocacy agenda they are promoting with Jim McMahon. The conference is continuing today.
USMJ and Jim McMahon, former quarterback with the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers and two time Super Bowl Champion, earlier this year announced the the formation of the Cannabis Sports Policy Project (CSPP). Working together strategically with USMJ to introduce a line of cannabis infused sports and fitness supplements, PURA is the first CSPP sponsor.
Jim McMahon is an advocate for medical marijuana. As a result of injuries incurred while playing in the NFL, he has endured 18 surgeries and now lives with chronic pain. Medical marijuana has enabled McMahon to end a pharmaceutical pain killer habit.
The Cannabis Sports Policy Project is founded by USMJ, but operates separate from USMJ to raise awareness for the benefits of medical marijuana over pharmaceutical pain killers in the management of pain from injuries incurred by athletes in addition to raising awareness for the potential of medical marijuana to mitigate the long-term damage that can result from repetitive head trauma. The Cannabis Sports Policy Project will also raise funds to advocate for pro cannabis policy changes within sport governing bodies.
North American Cannabis Holdings is an entrepreneurial cannabis consumer products development company founded on the belief that cannabis makes lives better. Cannabis can fight disease and improve wellness.
In addition to other cannabis infused consumer product lines, USMJ leads a business partnership that includes PURA and a registered not-for-profit called Nature Comfort Meds (NCM) which holds a United States patent for medical marijuana and hemp cannabis extraction. The three Companies, USMJ, PURA and NCM are all working to solidify plans for a commercial application of the patented extraction process.
